Happy May flowers and Mother’s
			   day to everyone!!!
Just a little babbling this time.
Memorial Day weekend party in Gold Point will be upon us in only
			   10 more days!!
If you are looking for some place to go for
the weekend to explore with your 4x4, quad or motorcycle this is
the place to be!! If you don’t know where to explore we will
provide you with a map and directions and descriptions of what to
see out in the back country around Gold Point. We can send you on
a “3 hour tour” or an all day tour.
Don’t worry about
packing food because we have all the food you’ll need with our
			   breakfasts, lunches and dinners.
All you need is money and
a sleeping bag and the sleeping bag is optional!!
We still
have plenty of dry camping space available for tents or
			   RVs.
We have one cabin left for
rent if anyone is interested for Friday, Saturday and Sunday
			   nights.
Live entertainment this year by Alkali Flats. They
will be entertaining us with country and bluegrass this year for
the first time. I’m told they have a following of friends that
will be joining us this year to listen to them.
Don’t
forget to have your “dinner with a ghost” Friday, Saturday and
Sunday nights hosted by Ghost Town Operations and food prepared
			   by Chef Dan.
If you’re interested in a flyer just write us
			   back requesting one.
Alan Patera, author of the
“Hornsilver/Gold Point” book, has reprinted it again because of
demand. This time he has changed the front and back cover with
color photos. If you’re interested in getting one just go to
			   www.goldpointghosttown.com and go to the
			   mercantile page and
			   order one or more.
They say parting is such sweet sorrow.
Well, I have to agree with that now. This last weekend Red Dog
and I went down to Las Vegas and brought our travel trailer back
home. Since the “great recession” began a few years ago I haven’t
been able to find much work in Vegas anyway so I finally decided
to call it quits and retire. I’m getting a pension from the union
now and come this November I will be able to get social security.
Red Dog has decided to retire the last day of this year also.

We are already advertising on our website that our cabins and
RV spaces are available 7 days a week
now and that has already shown a slight increase in guests
wanting to stay here during the week.
I’ll do more of a
newsletter sometime in June. Just wanted to tell you some
			   important stuff right now.
Take care and maybe see some of
			   you next weekend.

			   Thanks for reading this.
